NCCP Master Coach Developer at Hockey Canada

Mercedes Watson currently serves as the Director at the Coaches Association of Ontario, where leadership focuses on recruiting, supporting, educating, and recognizing coaches across Ontario. With extensive experience in coach and partner development, Mercedes has played a significant role in organizing National Coaches Week and has co-led the Ontario Parasport Collective Leadership Pillar. Mercedes is a certified NCCP Master Coach Developer and Learning Facilitator, specializing in various coaching levels, and provides training and evaluation for NCCP Coach Developers in ice hockey with Hockey Canada. Previous roles include consulting on gender equity in sports for Right To Play and serving as an Advanced/Intermediate Sports Specialist with the City of Ottawa, where responsibilities included program development and coaching. Mercedes holds a Master of Kinesiology in Coaching Science from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa.
