Laura Montes

Laura Montes has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Laura began their career as a Teacher Assistant at Industry Engaged Learning in 2006. Laura then worked as a Corporate Planning Analyst at Alpina S.A. in 2007 and as a Business Development Analyst at Organizacion Corona from 2008 to 2011. During their time at Organizacion Corona, they played a key role in identifying growth opportunities and developing expansion plans.

From 2012 to 2013, Laura worked as a Research Assistant and Tutor at Swinburne University of Technology. Laura then joined Organizacion Corona again in 2013, this time as an Innovation Project Manager. In this role, they led innovation projects and implemented a systematic innovation management model.

Laura's next position was as a Teacher of Innovation Management at EL Cesa University from 2015 to 2016. Laura designed and delivered a course on innovation management, emphasizing that innovation is a process that can be managed.

In 2016, Laura joined Enel as the Head of Innovation. Laura promoted new product, service, and process development, attracting external resources and working with startups. Laura held this position until 2021.

Laura then moved to Enel X, where they served as the Head of Sales B2B in Colombia from 2022 to 2023. Laura defined and executed the sales strategy and monitored key sales indicators to achieve budget goals.

Their latest role is as the Head of Innovation Culture at Hocol, starting in 2023. Laura is responsible for promoting innovation behaviors, creating an open innovation process, and operating an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center in La Guajira, Colombia.
