Mohammed A. Alam

Mohammed is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice, where he assists clients with business disputes covering many areas of substantive law. His areas of focus include commercial disputes, contract litigation, and litigation involving municipalities in both state and federal courts.

In addition, Mohammed has experience in hemp and cannabis law, handling commercial lease disputes between landlords and tenants, as well as a variety of other legal matters, including those concerning governments, educational institutions, and their officials on a variety of litigation and regulatory matters.

During law school, Mohammed pursued a variety of experiences, including with the General Counsel of Deutsche Bank, the State Counsel Division at the NYS Attorney General's office, and within the Enforcement Department of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He also served as a student attorney for the Community Justice Clinic where he focused on immigration cases, and was a Constitutional Law Teaching Fellow at the University at Buffalo.

Mohammed has an extensive political and governmental work background. He has been involved in various internships and volunteer opportunities with the White House, U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and the New York City Council; along with his involvement in many campaigns ranging from presidential to local races.
