Gorm Hillgaar

Gorm Hillgaar has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Gorm started their career in 2001 as a Service Engineer at ITT Flygt. From 2005 to 2008, they worked as a Maritime Trainee and later as a Ship Manager LNG at Höegh Fleet Services AS. In 2009, they joined Leif Höegh UK Ltd as a Ship Manager - LNG and later became a Senior Technical Superintendent. In 2012, they joined Höegh LNG as a Fleet Manager and in 2013 became the Vice President - Head of Technical Management. From 2014 to 2019, they held the role of General Manager at Höegh LNG Fleet Management AS. Most recently, they have been working at Höegh LNG as the Senior Vice President Asset Management.

Gorm Hillgaar holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Marine Technology from the University of Strathclyde, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a Cand. Mag degree in International Technology Management from Heriot-Watt University from 2001 to 2002. Gorm also has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering with Mechatronics, which they completed at OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University between 1998 and 2001.
