Emily Barkley-Levenson

Emily Barkley-Levenson is an accomplished academic serving as the Director of Undergraduate Programs in Psychology and as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Hofstra University since September 2015. Emily leads the Neuroeconomics of Risky Decisions Lab and teaches a variety of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including neuroscience and psychology. Responsibilities include supervising senior honors thesis projects and participating in various committees. Previous roles include Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California, Postdoctoral Research Associate at UCLA, and Teaching Fellow at UCLA's Interdisciplinary Freshman Cluster Program. Emily holds a PhD and MA in Psychology from UCLA and a BA in Psychology and Music from Pomona College.
