Professor Of French Horn at Hofstra University

Eric Davis is an accomplished French horn instructor and professional musician with extensive experience in education and performance. Currently, Eric serves as a Professor of French Horn at Hofstra University, where duties include directing the Hofstra Horn Ensemble and coaching chamber music. Additionally, Eric teaches brass instrument classes and provides private lessons at the Brooklyn Conservatory. With a professional performance background that includes participation in notable productions such as Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess" and various Broadway shows, Eric has also held principal horn positions with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Queretaro and La Kamerata Chamber Orchestra. Eric's academic qualifications include a Doctorate of Musical Arts in progress from The University of Georgia, a Master's degree in French Horn from the Manhattan School of Music, and a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the Hartt School of Music.
