Jason King

Jason King currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Hofstra University since June 2025. Prior to this role, King was the Associate Vice President of Strategic Risk Management and Chief Legal Officer at The University of Texas at San Antonio from October 2023 to June 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing enterprise risk management and legal affairs. His previous experience includes serving as Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at The University of Texas System and as Senior Associate at Akers & Boulware-Wlls L.L.P., where Jason provided general counsel for multiple cities on various legal matters. King began his career as Assistant General Counsel at the Texas Ethics Commission. Jason holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Baylor University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
