David Weatherhead

Design Principal at HOK

David Weatherhead has had a varied work experience throughout their career. David started as a Porter at Newcastle General Hospital in 1997 before transitioning into the field of architecture. David then worked as an Architectural Assistant at FaulknerBrowns from 2000 to 2001. David continued to progress in their career and became a Senior Associate at Anshen + Allen from 2003 to 2014. Following that, they founded their own company, Weatherhead Architecture, where they served as the Director from 2014 to 2016. David then joined PLP Architecture as a Project Leader from 2015 to 2016. Currently, they are working at HOK, where they have held various senior roles since 2016, including Design Principal and Principal on the Design Board.

David Weatherhead has a strong educational background in architecture. David began their education at The University of Sheffield, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors (BA(hons)) in architecture from 1997 to 2000. David then attended Newcastle University, where they completed a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from 2001 to 2003. David further pursued their architectural studies at Newcastle University, earning a Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture (DipPPM) from 2004 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, David Weatherhead obtained a certification as a BREEAM Associate from the BRE Academy in May 2017.
