Mathias Gaertner

With a wealth of legal experience, Mathias Gaertner took on the role of Head Legal & Compliance at Holcim in 2021 and is a member of the Group Executive Committee.

Mathias is a proven senior legal leader in technology-driven building solutions with a solid track record in international mergers & acquisitions and compliance. He spent 10 years at Honeywell Building Technologies, most recently as General Counsel, playing an instrumental role in the business’ growth.

He joined Holcim in 2021 as Head Legal & Compliance, and also became a member of the Executive Committee.

Mathias studied at the University of Münster, where he obtained his PhD, and is admitted to the German bar. Mathias is a German national and was born in 1973.
