Stephane Ortega has a diverse work experience spanning several positions in the cement and aggregates industry. Stephane started their career at Magotteaux as a Process Engineer, where they provided technical support and led partnership programs. Stephane then joined LafargeHolcim, where they held various roles such as Lead Engineer, Industrial Performance Advisor, Global Head of Mines, and Business Transformation Manager. In these positions, they focused on increasing operational efficiency, driving transformation initiatives, and fostering collaboration and empowerment within teams. Stephane later moved to LafargeHolcim (Russia) as the Country Process, Production & Transformation Manager, where they optimized assets utilization and operations efficiency while linking company strategy with daily activities. Currently, they are working at Holcim as the Lead Process - Production & Materials Engineer, demonstrating their expertise in business processes and organization dynamics.
Stephane Ortega holds a Master of Science degree in Industry Engineering with a specialty in Industrial Organization from Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra, which they obtained from 1983 to 1990. Stephane also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Foundry & Forge Engineering from Ecole Supérieure de Fonderie et de Forge, which they obtained from 1992 to 1993. In addition to their academic qualifications, Stephane has obtained several certifications related to various aspects of leadership, digital transformation, organizational development, logistics, and project management from institutions such as LinkedIn and G. Ross Clark. Stephane is also a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.
