Vicente Carreras Sánchez

Vicente Carreras Sánchez has extensive work experience in the field of IT security. Vicente is currently employed at Holcim as the Head of Global I&O IT Security. Prior to that, they worked at Prosegur Cash as the CISO from 2020 to 2023. In 2019, they were the Head of Security at Orange Bank, where they were responsible for defining and implementing key security processes, developing the security strategy, and aligning security investments with business goals. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Security Architect at Telefónica Ingeniería de Seguridad, where they designed and deployed security monitoring systems. Vicente also held positions at ING España & Portugal as a Security Architect and Technical Lead Security Infrastructure, and at Unitronics as an IT Security Consultant. Additionally, they worked at Dimension Data, NET2S, Acotel, and DYCEC in various technical roles.

Vicente Carreras Sánchez attended the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a degree in Ingenieria Técnica en informática de gestión with a focus in Ingeniería informática. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2002, they attended the Centro de estudios and earned a degree as a Técnico superior de sistemas informáticos. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications including JNCIA-IDP Juniper, JNCIA-FWV Juniper, JNCIS-FWV Juniper, JNCIA-SSL Juniper, JNCIS-SSL Juniper, CCSA CheckPoint, and the Certificación Profesional Especialista en Computer Incident Response (CIR).
