Melissa Carey

Melissa Carey is a seasoned professional in climate policy and environmental advocacy, currently serving as the Head of Climate, ESG Policy, and Government Affairs at HolcimUS since January 2023. With extensive experience in strategic climate advocacy, Melissa has been a Senior Policy Advisor at The Nature Conservancy since September 2015, focusing on partnerships with corporate leaders to combat greenhouse gas emissions. Prior roles include Deputy Director of the Clean Energy Program at Third Way and Policy Specialist at the Environmental Defense Fund. Early career experience includes consultancy at Cantor Fitzgerald Environmental Brokerage Services and serving as a Legislative Analyst for Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. Melissa holds a Master of Public Administration from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University.
