Service Manager at Holcomb Bus

Joseph Smith is the current Service Manager at Holcomb Bus. Joseph has over 20 years of experience in the water operations industry. Joseph started their career as a Water Operations Supervisor at SMM Pogo LLC in 2007. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring the proper and safe operation of all water operations facilities and systems in accordance with State and Federal guidelines as well as all MSHA/OSHA regulations. Joseph also conducted, as well as trained operators in, conducting job hazard analysis and hazard assessments in and out of the work place. In 2013, they were promoted to Assistant Mill General Foreman and was accountable for all aspects of Milling, Refining and Water Operations. In this role, they helped ensure the safe and environmentally friendly operation of the Mill Department. Joseph also coached and mentored shift supervisors. Additionally, they assisted in justification of the annual and 3 year budget. Joseph also conducted and oversaw Job Hazard Analysis. Lastly, they approved Purchase Requisitions and oversaw projects.

During their time at SMM Pogo LLC, Joseph was also intimately involved in the design and engineering of a new potable water plant as well as the upgrade of their STP. Joseph upgraded from the 25000 GPD SBR to a 45000 GPD MBR.

In 2021, Joseph left SMM Pogo LLC to join Holcomb Bus as their Service Manager. In this role, they are responsible for managing the service department to ensure customer satisfaction through effective utilization of resources

Joseph Smith has a certificate of completion in backflow assembly testing from the University of Southern California, as well as certificates of completion in water/wastewater treatment from California State University-Sacramento. Joseph also has a certification from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation in wastewater treatment 3 and water treatment 3, as well as a certification from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation in wastewater collection 1.
