Maissa Ghanem

Maissa Ghanem has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Maissa is currently a Member and Secretary of the Executive Board at Teach For Lebanon since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Faculté de gestion et de management - USJ starting in November 2021. Before that, they worked as a Task Force Advisor at Jobs for Lebanon starting in September 2021.

Maissa's longest tenure was at HOLDAL Group, where they held the position of Chief Sustainability Officer. Maissa initiated, designed, and implemented a 10-year transformation journey for the group to grow sustainably and adapt to disruptions. Maissa also played a role in corporate and family governance and led change management teams. Their tenure at HOLDAL Group began in April 2009.

Before their employment at HOLDAL Group, Maissa was the Co-Founder and Project Manager at Recettes de Vie / Recipes of Life starting from April 2007. This venture involved creating a book to raise funds for charities that support women and children in Lebanon and the region.

Maissa also has experience in the fashion and beauty industry. Maissa worked as a Business Development Consultant for Victoria's Secret, where they provided analysis on retail concepts and assisted luxury brands in finding the right distribution partners in the Middle East. Prior to that, they worked as a Brand Manager and later as a Business Development Manager at Paris Gallery LLC, where they managed brand image, marketing, and business development activities.

Their earlier career includes positions at ELEMIS as an International Distribution Manager and at LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics as a Training Manager and later as an Area Manager. Maissa also worked at L'Oréal as a Lancôme Sales Representative and Project Manager for Makeup Animations.

Maissa Ghanem's educational journey began at College Louise Wegmann (CLW) where they earned a French Bac II degree in Applied Mathematics. This period lasted from 1980 to 1996. Following this, they enrolled at Concordia University and completed their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree between 1996 and 1999. Their major during this time was International Business, with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. In 2019, they pursued further education at IESE Business School, where they completed the Advanced Management Program. The program focused on various areas, including Organizational Leadership, Business Strategy, Decision Making, Sustainability, and Impact. Maissa finished this program in 2020.
