Ed Moydell serves as the President & CEO of Holden Forests & Gardens since September 2023, bringing extensive leadership experience from The Bloedel Reserve, where Ed held the position of President & CEO from April 2010 to August 2023. At The Bloedel Reserve, Ed Moydell managed a 140-acre public garden and forest preserve, overseeing a $4 million budget, over 50 staff members, 300 volunteers, and a 25-member board. Prior roles include Associate Director at Bloedel Reserve and the Center for Public Horticulture at the University of Delaware, where Ed Moydell played a pivotal role in establishing the Center as an official university institute. Earlier in the career, Ed Moydell worked in education planning at Longwood Gardens and entertained guests as a hibachi chef at Shogun Steakhouse of Japan. Ed Moydell holds an M.S. and B.S. in Public Horticulture from the University of Delaware and Oklahoma State University, respectively.
