Alexis Salazar currently serves as a Program Coordinator and Bilingual Developmental Interventionist at Holding Hands Pediatric Therapy & Adult Services since December 2015. Prior to this, Alexis held the position of Assistant Teacher in Early Care and Education at the Krieger Center at UCLA from June 2014 to December 2015, where childcare was provided for children aged 2 months to 5 years, with a focus on ensuring safety in both classroom and playground settings. Alexis holds a Master of Arts in Child Development from California State University, Los Angeles, obtained between 2017 and 2019, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UCLA, completed in 2015.

Holding Hands has been serving communities for over 16 years through Los Angeles, Burbank, Calabasas and now Whittier. As an outpatient community clinic, Holding Hands serves infants, children, adolescents & adults with developmental and mental health needs. Our clinical team focuses on the client’s strengths and individual differences while developing an intervention plan that addresses his or her unique profile. Our clinical team fosters a relationship not only with the client, but educates, empowers and supports the entire family unit. In addition to our pediatric services we provide counseling for individuals, couples and families. Holding Hands, where every individual has the potential to grow, learn and develop; they only need someone to believe in them and hold their hand.
