Joahne Mae Medalla

Joahne Mae Medalla started working with HWP in 2011 as a content marketer and operations administrator. This included tasks such as social media marketing, video editing, and payroll duties. It is a great blessing to be with Holistic for such a long time because of the opportunities to learn new ideas and skills and having kind managers who truly value their employees. Even after I moved to a new country (Canada), HWP still accepted me and let me continue my duties as a payroll officer.

She graduated with 2 degrees: a BS in Food Technology (2004) at the University of the Philippines in the Visayas, and a BS in Nursing (2010) at Iloilo Doctors’ College. I started working in 2004 as a service crew at Jollibee, the #1 fast-food chain in the Philippines, and later as a Shift Manager. I also gained experience in the healthcare field as a volunteer staff nurse. My courses may not be close to my roles as a content marketer and payroll officer, but my experiences, perseverance, and hard work got me this far.

Nature, fashion, business, photography, and movies are my major interests in life. Growing up in a loving family and living simply, made me value simple things in life. Now, I am a happy mother of a handsome and smart boy.
