Joel Ulahanna

Joel Ulahanna has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Joel started their career in 2015 at Packt Publishing as a Content Development Editor, where they worked closely with software professionals to understand and publish their work. In 2015, they also worked as a Full Stack Developer at Techno Code LLP, developing projects for non-profits and churches.

In 2017, Joel joined the Metacurrency Project as a Full Stack Developer Intern, where they contributed to the development of Holochain and worked on creating a Distributed Public Key Infrastructure. Later that year, they joined Castle Ventures Corporation as a Technical Lead, leading a team in creating an application called the Data Security Health Map and handling various software development lifecycle activities.

In 2018, Joel started working at Holo.Host as a Full Stack Developer, building a bridge between the current centralized topology of the Internet and the future distributed Internet using Holochain. Joel also worked on Holochain itself. In the same year, they also joined Holochain as a Full-Stack & Application Developer.

Currently, Joel holds the position of Senior Distributed Platform Engineer at Holo.Host, where they utilize their technical expertise to architect and design multiple services. Joel also serves as a Software Technical Lead, focusing on production integration and deployment and leading the Mutual Credit Micro transactional currency project.

Joel Ulahanna has a strong academic background and has pursued various educational opportunities throughout their life. Joel earned a Master's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Software Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from St John College of Engineering and Technology, from 2011 to 2015.

Joel's education journey started at Vidya Vikasni Jr College, where they completed their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Electronics from 2009 to 2011. Before that, they attended St. France De Sales High School, where they completed their High School Certificate (SSC) from 1997 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Joel has also obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Joel received a certification in Web Development Foundations: Full-Stack vs Front-End from LinkedIn in February 2018. Joel also completed certifications in Advanced Database and SQL Querying, Java Multithreading, and Android 4.0 Programming in Java from Udemy in December 2016, November 2016, and October 2016 respectively. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest developments in their field.
