Jordanna Gessler has a diverse work experience in various industries, with a focus on museums and education. Jordanna started working in 2010 as an Interactive Intern at Ron Sherman Advertising and later interned as a Marketing Intern at Altvater Gessler - J.A. Baczewski. In 2011, they became a Client Services Manager at Crestron Electronics, where they managed customer accounts and communication with international offices. Jordanna then worked as a Buyer/Manager at Beach Montauk Yacht Club, where they interacted with vendors and customers.
Gessler's interest in museums and education led their to roles at Yad Vashem as a Researcher, where they identified testimony for potential Righteous Among the Nations candidacy, and at the Weiss-Livnat International Center for Holocaust Research and Education as a Seminar Coordinator, where they developed a research seminar on the role of Holocaust Museums in the 21st Century.
Jordanna later joined Monopolowa as a Marketing Director, responsible for marketing strategies. Jordanna then took on different roles at the Holocaust Museum LA, starting as the Education Coordinator and progressing to become the Director of Education, Vice President of Education and Exhibits, and currently, the Chief Impact Officer. In these roles, they provided strategic leadership, curated exhibitions, developed education programs, supervised staff, and facilitated partnerships.
Gessler is also involved in the community, serving as the Steering Committee Co-Chair, New Leaders Project at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and as a Member of the Board of Directors at the COUNCIL OF AMERICAN JEWISH MUSEUMS.
Jordanna Gessler holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Holocaust and Related Studies from the University of Haifa, which they obtained in 2013. Jordanna also has a B.A. degree in Political Science and Holocaust Studies from the University of Vermont, earned between 2007 and 2011. In addition to their formal education, Jordanna has obtained certifications including Personnel Resiliency Training from The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, Law Enforcement and Society: Lessons of the Holocaust (LEAS) Trainer from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and Yad Vashem Holocaust Teaching Certification from Yad Vashem.
