Carrie Potter-Murray

Carrie Potter-Murray, Ed.D. has a strong background in special education and programmatic advancement. Carrie has experience as a Senior Director of Specialized Education Services at Holy Family Institute, where they are currently employed. Prior to this, they worked as a Special Education Consultant and Founding Director of Inclusive Learning at Catalyst Academy Charter School. Carrie also served as a Senior High School Autistic/Emotional Support Teacher at Seneca Valley School District, a Resource Teacher at Propel Schools, and a Curriculum Consultant at The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh. Carrie's early career included roles as a Paraprofessional at Deer Lakes School District and a Therapeutic Staff Support at Family Behavioral Resources. Carrie'swork has focused on supporting and advocating for students with disabilities.

Carrie Potter-Murray, Ed.D., earned their Ed.D. in Leadership & Administration from Point Park University in 2020. Prior to that, they completed their MEd in Special Education Leadership at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2017. In 2012, they received their Masters in Mental & Physical Disabilities with a focus on Special Education and Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh. Carrie's undergraduate degree is in Journalism, which they obtained from Point Park University in 2009.
