John S. Kovalchik

John S. Kovalchik has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. John S. began their career at Tri-County Youth Programs, Inc. in 1999, where they served as a Program Director/Assistant Director of Residential Services until 2004. John S. then moved on to GANDARA Mental Health Center, where they served as the Director of Outpatient Services from 2005 to 2007. Following that, they joined the Center for Human Development (CHD) as the Director of Outpatient Services from 2007 to 2013.

In 2013, Kovalchik took on the role of Director of Clinical Services at The Children's Study Home until 2014. John S. then joined Holyoke Medical Center, first as Manager of Behavioral Health Services from 2015 to 2018, and later as the Director of ACO Operations until the present. In these roles, they have provided leadership and management for various value-based initiatives and programs, overseeing the Center for Behavioral Health and driving improvements in patient outcomes, revenue, and compliance with regulations. Overall, Kovalchik's work experience demonstrates their expertise in healthcare administration and their commitment to providing quality care for patients.

John S. Kovalchik holds a Master's degree in Social Work Administration from the University of Connecticut, which they obtained from 1996 to 1998. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Western New England University between 1987 and 1992. In addition to their degrees, they have a certification as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, obtained from the Board of Registration of Social Workers in December 2005.
