Fabian Affolter

Fabian Affolter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in security analysis, software development, and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Security Analyst at Audius and a Nixpkgs Maintainer for NixOS, Fabian has also been a developer for Home Assistant since 2015, contributing to multiple IoT platforms and designing critical components. As the owner and senior engineer at Affolter Engineering, Fabian specializes in security testing and systems engineering. Previous roles include significant contributions to Alpine Linux and the Fedora Project, where Fabian maintained numerous packages and participated in various leadership capacities. With degrees in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering from Berne University, Fabian combines technical expertise with a strong background in mechanical design and engineering.
