Thomas Kang

Thomas Kang is an accomplished business leader with extensive experience in the gaming and entertainment industries. Currently serving as President at Nex since April 2024, Thomas previously held significant roles at Walmart and Store No. 8 as VP and Officer and VP and GM, respectively, from October 2022 to April 2024. Prior to this, at Amazon from July 2016 to September 2022, Thomas was the Director and Head of Global Strategy, Business Development, and Investments for Amazon Games, where a global business development team was built and strategic investment processes were established. Thomas's entrepreneurial spirit was evident as Founder and CEO of Zig Zag Zoom, a mobile gaming company focused on social impact from 2014 to 2016, and as Vice President of Asia Games at Disney Interactive Studios, where strategic licensing deals were negotiated for major franchises. Thomas also served as President of Wideload Games, President and CEO of CSMG Sports, and held various management roles at ExxonMobil, demonstrating a strong track record of leadership and strategic growth throughout a diverse career. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.
