Homeless Prenatal Program
Monica Steptoe has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Monica currently serves as the Program Director at Homeless Prenatal Program since March 2020. Prior to this role, they worked at Larkin Street Youth Services where they held multiple positions, including Associate Director from December 2015 to September 2020 and Case Manager from July 2015 to December 2015. Monica also served as a Case Manager/Supporting Housing Coordinator at the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County from July 2012 to July 2015. Earlier in their career, Monica was the Assistant Manager at Hunter’s Point Community Park from March 2006 to March 2012 and a Case Manager at Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS) from July 2006 to July 2010. Monica began their career as a Senior Case Manager at the San Francisco Pretrial Diversion Project from April 2000 to May 2003.
Monica Steptoe attended Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge from 1979 to 1981, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Sociology.

Homeless Prenatal Program
Mission: In partnership with our families, break the cycle of childhood poverty. The Homeless Prenatal Program is a nationally-recognized family resource center in San Francisco that empowers homeless and low-income families, particularly mothers motivated by pregnancy and parenthood, to find within themselves the strength and confidence they need to transform their lives. We serve over 3,500 low-income and homeless families annually, providing a variety of programs and services to help families become healthy, stable and self-sufficient.
