Brian Hanser, CPA

Brian Hanser, CPA has a diverse range of work experience in the accounting field. Brian is currently working at HomeStory as the Financial Controller, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this role, Brian was the Manager of Financial Operations at HomeStory from March 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining HomeStory, Brian worked at Withum as an Audit Manager from June 2020 to March 2021. In this role, they managed PCAOB and AICPA audit engagements for technology and emerging growth companies, specializing in software licensing and software development business models. Brian also advised clients on ASC-606 revenue recognition policies and developed accounting processes for tracking and capitalizing internally developed software costs.

Prior to their role as Audit Manager, Brian was a Supervisor at Withum from December 2017 to June 2020.

Brian's work experience also includes being a Co-Founder of Green Team Landscaping and Marketing Solutions from October 2014 to November 2017.

Brian began their accounting career as a Senior Accountant at Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. from September 2011 to October 2014. In this role, they served as an outsourced accounting department for small and medium sized companies and facilitated a positive firm culture during a merger with another accounting firm.

Brian's early experience includes being a Senior Accountant at William E. Howe & Co. CPA's from June 2008 to June 2011.

Brian Hanser, CPA completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Penn State University in 2008. In 2007, they also attended Universidad Pablo de Olavide for a brief period, where they studied International Business and Culture.
