Lauren J. Kessler

Lauren J. Kessler, LCSW has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Lauren J. started their career as an Intern at The Core Center in 2003, where they completed intake assessments for new patients in a clinic for individuals diagnosed with HIV. In 2004, they volunteered at Middle Way House before interning as a Social Work Intern at Westwood Manor in 2005. Lauren J. then became a Social Work Intern at Rush University Medical Center - Older Adult Programs in 2006. From 2007 to 2011, Lauren worked as a Clinical Social Worker at Rush University Senior Care. Following this, they joined Horizon Hospice and Palliative Care as a Social Worker in their Adult Hospice Program from 2011 to 2013. Lauren J. then transitioned to Horizon Hospice & Palliative Care as a Pediatric Social Worker from 2013 to 2015. Lauren further expanded their experience by working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at JourneyCare from 2015 to 2019. Currently, they are employed at Homethrive, Inc. Lauren J. started as a Care Guide in 2019 and was promoted to the role of Care Guide Manager in July 2021.

Lauren J. Kessler, LCSW pursued their education by completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies at Indiana University Bloomington from 2001 to 2005. Subsequently, they attended the Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work, where they obtained a Master's degree in Social Work with a specialization in Health and Geriatrics from 2005 to 2007.
