Marty Caywood has a diverse work experience in the banking and technology sectors. Marty started their career at Rock Hill National Bank as a Computer Operator, where they were responsible for implementing the bank's first computer network and assisting with programming tasks. Marty then joined HomeTrust Bank, initially serving as the Information Security Officer, where they directed the planning and implementation of IT security systems. They later became the Director of I.T., aligning the bank's technology vision with its business strategy. Marty's role then evolved to Chief Technology Officer, where they provided technical direction and led process improvement initiatives. Currently, Marty holds the position of EVP Chief Information Officer at HomeTrust Bank, responsible for advancing technology and operations to enhance the customer experience and financial results. Marty also has managerial experience as the Manager/Member at CMW Properties LLC.

Marty Caywood attended Winthrop University from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. In addition to their formal education, Marty also holds certifications. Marty obtained a certification in "Economist Education Fintech and the Future of Finance: Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Govcoins and the Payments Revolution" from The Economist in December 2022. Marty also obtained a certification as a Certified Coach from Cal Ripken\Babe Ruth in June 2013.
