Erin Hughes

Erin Hughes is a Senior Surface Water Engineer and Queensland Regional Manager at Hydrology and Risk Consulting since May 2018. Erin also serves as an HB7 Team Member in the Homeward Bound leadership program, focused on global collaboration among women in STEMM to address climate crises. Previously, Erin was a Superstar of STEM with Science & Technology Australia, aiming to enhance the visibility of women in scientific fields. Career experience includes roles as a Surface Water Engineer at Jacobs and Sinclair Knight Merz, and as an Engineer with the Torres Strait Island Regional Council, concentrated on waste and water management for remote communities. Education includes a Master's degree in Integrated Water Management from the International WaterCentre and a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from The University of Queensland.
