Helen O'Connor

Helen O'Connor is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in climate change, environmental policy, and social inclusion. Currently, O'Connor serves as the Senior International Advocacy Manager at RNLI and is a Team Member of the 5th Cohort for Homeward Bound Projects, an initiative promoting women's influence in science and policy. Previous roles include Manager of Social Inclusion and Employment at Pobal, Team Leader and Principal Researcher at the International Institute for Environment and Development, and Head of Reducing Demand on Nature at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. O'Connor's career spans over two decades, with significant contributions to various government departments and international organizations, focusing on climate finance, humanitarian response, and sustainable development. O'Connor holds an MPhil in Environment and Development from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Biological Science from Durham University.
