Nicole Cabana

Nicole Cabana serves as the Deputy Director at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center for NOAA Fisheries, focusing on fostering a positive workplace culture and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. With an extensive background at NOAA since 2000, Nicole has held various critical roles, including Chief of Staff and Aviation Advisor, overseeing significant operations and improving IT infrastructure. In addition to current involvement in the Homeward Bound Leadership Development Program, Nicole has conducted marine research and led aviation missions while completing advanced degrees in Engineering, Human Ecology, and Project Management. Notably, Nicole's leadership has contributed to marine sustainability and enhanced operational effectiveness across NOAA programs.
