Chief Engineer / Maas Business Domain, New Business Development at Honda

Hiroyuki Tomotani has a diverse work experience in various companies. Hiroyuki started their career in 2000 as a Sales Promoter at NTT DOCOMO, Inc. Hiroyuki then joined the same company in 2003 and held various roles including Service Operation and Management, Project Leader for Mobile Internet Search Project, Project Leader for Portal Strategy, and Project Leader for Open Platform ID Project. During their time at NTT DOCOMO, they successfully launched and managed several projects, contributing to the company's revenue growth and spreading mobile searching in Japan.

In 2011, Hiroyuki joined NTT DOCOMO, Inc. as a Manager for the Tokyo Bike-Share Project, where they were responsible for business development, service planning, and marketing. Hiroyuki later became a Project Leader for the Bike-Sharing Project, where they achieved three consecutive victories in competitive markets and was responsible for launching DOCOMO's bike-sharing business in Tokyo and Yokohama.

In 2016, Hiroyuki joined NTT DOCOMO as a Sales Manager, overseeing 21 retail shops and managing a team of sales forces. Hiroyuki also achieved significant success by growing one of the sales stores to the top position in the Tokyo region.

In 2018, Hiroyuki joined Mercari, Inc. as a Product Manager for Merchari, a bike-sharing system. Hiroyuki'sresponsibilities included business development, production management, and formulating strategies for area development. Hiroyuki focused on popularizing Merchari as a new means of last-mile transportation and improving operational quality.

Currently, Hiroyuki is working at Honda Motor Co., Ltd. as the Chief Engineer for MaaS Business Domain in New Business Development. Hiroyuki supervises the new business development team in the micro-mobility field and is involved in developing new business creation processes and program management.

Throughout their career, Hiroyuki has shown a strong track record in business development, project management, and team leadership, with a focus on innovative transportation solutions and mobile technology.

Hiroyuki Tomotani attended Waseda University from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
