Koji Moriyama

Koji Moriyama's work experience includes various roles at Honda Motor Co., Ltd., American Honda Motor Company, Inc., Honda R&D Americas, Inc., and Honda R&D. Koji has a Ph.D. and has held positions such as Chief Engineer, Principal Engineer, and Assistant Chief Engineer. Koji'sresponsibilities have included business development, planning carbon-neutral ecosystems utilizing hydrogen and renewable energy, and leading research and development on new energy solutions and electrification of vehicles. Moriyama has also been involved in market research, regulation sensing, and the development of new business ventures.

Koji Moriyama earned their Bachelor's degree in Control and System Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2001. Koji then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical and Control Engineering at the same institution from 2001 to 2003. In 2005, they attended Stanford University, where they completed the Stanford Center for Professional Development program in Aeronautics & Astronautics. From 2007 to 2012, Koji Moriyama studied at Kyoto University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics.

In terms of certifications, Koji Moriyama acquired the title of Authorized Chief X-ray Inspection Engineer from The Institute for Safety and Health Qualifying Examination in August 2010. In July 2013, they obtained the Hazardous Materials Engineer certification from the Fire Engineering Qualification Research Center. Additionally, they became a First Class Health Supervisor by passing the examination conducted by The Institute for Safety and Health Qualifying Examination in July 2014.

In more recent years, Koji Moriyama continued to expand their expertise by obtaining the Remote Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in May 2021. Alongside that, they also obtained Private Pilot Certificates from the same institution in April 2021.
