Takehiko Hanada has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Takehiko started their career in 2004 as a Researcher at Mitsubishi Electric, where they developed video streaming middleware and implemented techniques to stabilize decoding video. Takehiko then became the Head Researcher, responsible for leading R&D teams in the development of home network entertainment systems and collision avoidance technologies for self-driving vehicles. In 2017, they worked as a Visiting Scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2020, Hanada joined Toyota Research Institute - Advanced Development and Woven by Toyota as a Senior Engineer. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Engineer at Honda.
