Wataru Fujishima

Wataru Fujishima has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Wataru is currently serving as the Chief Engineer at Honda Motor Co., Ltd. since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Visteon Corporation, where they held various roles including Software Product Owner, Product Development Team Lead, Lead Validation Engineer, and System Engineer from 2015 to 2021. Before that, they worked at Renesas Electronics Corporation as an Engineer from 2013 to 2015. Wataru also worked at Renesas Design Vietnam Co., Ltd. as a Staff Engineer in the Software Department and Group Manager of Software IP Group from 2011 to 2013. Wataru'scareer began at Renesas as a Software Engineer for Embedded Systems from 2008 to 2011.

Wataru Fujishima obtained a PhD in Engineering from Yokohama National University, where they studied from 2000 to 2008. Wataru later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Prefectural University of Hiroshima, completing their studies from 2018 to 2020. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification in JSTQB Foundation level from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in September 2017.
