Chris Hill

Chris Hill, CPA has a strong background in finance and accounting with experience in both the public and private sectors. Chris most recently served as the Chief Finance Officer for the City of Hondo starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Finance for the City of Angleton from January 2021 to February 2023. Chris also has extensive experience in city administration, having served as the City Administrator for the City of Rogers from January 2016 to January 2021, and the City Administrator for the City of Bartlett from December 2011 to November 2015.

Before transitioning into public service, Chris worked in the private sector as a Project Professional/Manager at Jefferson Wells from April 2010 to December 2011. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Accounting Manager at C&S Wholesale Grocers from February 2009 to March 2010. Chris began their career in 1993 as a Controller at McLane Company, where they held various roles until January 2009.

Chris Hill, CPA obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, graduating in 1994. In 1996, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas, with the State Board of Accountancy being the institution that awarded him the certification.
