Tom Griffiths

Co-founder, CEO at Hone

Tom Griffiths is the co-founder and CEO of Hone. Tom was previously the Chief Product Officer, co-founder, and board member at FanDuel, where they pioneered the daily fantasy sports category.

Tom led the product's original creation, transition to mobile with award-winning apps on iOS and Android (5 star, Webby winner Best Mobile Sports App 2015, 2016), and oversaw all product initiatives including growth, revenue, social, internal tools and new product development. Tom also drove key company-wide initiatives including strategic planning, OKR operating model, culture and values.

Tom built and led a world-class product development team across multiple geographies focused on lean product discovery, cross-functional collaboration and design excellence. Tom was also a key leader in the 12 month+ merger process with rival (ultimately blocked by FTC) and 3 acquisitions.

Tom opened FanDuel's first 3 US offices, built and oversaw product operations and customer support functions, and was a media spokesperson (e.g. ESPN, CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox, NPR). Prior to FanDuel, Tom was a software engineering intern at Goldman Sachs International.

Tom Griffiths' educational career includes a MA (Hons) - 1st Class (ranked 3rd in year) from the University of Cambridge in Computer Science, a PhD from The University of Edinburgh in Machine Learning, and an MSc with Distinction from The University of Edinburgh in Informatics / Machine Learning. Additionally, they have attended the RSI Summer School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
