Parker Bonnell has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2008, they worked as an Administrative Intern at Smart Design, where they conducted research on consumer price tolerances for green substitutes and co-managed a company-wide energy audit. In 2009, they interned at the National Park Service as a Resource Management Intern, gaining training in resource management field skills. In 2010, they worked as a GIS Wind Analyst at Solaya Energy. From 2009 to 2011, they had two roles at BU Pardee Center, one as a Rockefeller Grantee Researcher and another as a Research Assistant, involving database creation and analysis projects. In 2012, they worked as a Financial Analyst at Harvard University and a Development Team member at Open Source Ecology. Since 2013, Parker has been with Honest Policy, Inc, starting as a Development employee and currently working as a Project Director.

Parker Bonnell holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University, which was obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2007, Bonnell attended St. John's College and completed the Great Books Program. They also pursued a Master's degree in Energy and Environmental Analysis from 2009 to 2010 at Boston University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. Bonnell's secondary education took place at Greenwich High School from 2001 to 2005.
