Sherman Lam

Sherman Lam is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in robotics and engineering. Currently serving as the lead mechanical engineer at Honeybee Robotics, Sherman Lam plays a pivotal role in the NASA/JAXA Martina Moon eXploration Mission, focusing on a pneumatic sample acquisition system for a sample return mission to Phobos. Previously, Sherman Lam worked at ProtoInnovations, designing and testing retractable anchors, and interned at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where Sherman Lam contributed to innovative robotics projects such as microspine grippers and wall climbing robots. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, where Sherman Lam also held leadership roles, including President of the Makerspace and Autonomous Vehicles Lab Instructor.
