Angel Sylvester is an emerging professional in artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently serving as a Graduate AI/ML Engineer Intern at Honeywell since June 2024. As a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota since August 2020, Angel has also taken on roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Instructor, focusing on computer science courses. Prior experience includes a Cellular Services Specialist position at Sloan Equity and Inclusion in STEM and an Applied Genomics Research Internship at the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities. Angel contributed to research at the Mayo Clinic as a SEISMIC Research Fellow and as a Mayo Innovations Research Scholar. Earlier roles also involved AI research at Macalester College and clinical work at HealthPartners. Angel holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Computer Science from Macalester College.
