Dan Newman

Dan Newman currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Advanced Air Mobility at Honeywell. With extensive experience in the aerospace field, Dan holds roles as Technical Fellow at Vertical Flight Society and Fellow at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Additionally, Dan has been a member of the Board of Directors for the American Helicopter Museum & Education Center and participates on the Board of Visitors at the University of Maryland's Department of Aerospace Engineering. Dan is also involved with the Advisory Board of the Cornell University Swanson Engineering Simulation Program. Previously, Dan worked as a Senior Technical Fellow and Chief Engineer of Advanced VTOL at Boeing. Dan's leadership experience includes chairing multiple NATO Industry Advisory Group study groups focused on future rotorcraft capabilities and sustainment. Dan holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Rotorcraft Design & Dynamics from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
