Assistant Business Improvement Manager (Share Service) at Hong Kong Airport Services

Bennett Tong has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Bennett started their career as an Assistant Engineer at Chevalier International Holdings Limited, where they monitored project progress for lift and escalator installations. Bennett then worked as a Manufacturing Officer at Allan International Holding Ltd, implementing Lean and 6-sigma methodologies to optimize department operations.

Tong later joined Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL) as an Assistant Business Improvement Leader, carrying out improvement activities throughout the company to achieve strategic objectives. Bennett facilitated interactive workshops and generated Kaizen and Greenbelt projects.

Bennett then moved to Cathay Pacific Catering Services (H.K.) Ltd., where they held the roles of Senior Business Improvement Officer and Senior Operational Excellence Officer. In these roles, they managed lean sigma projects, facilitated project teams, established assessment frameworks, and led Gemba and 5S events to identify improvement areas.

Tong also worked at HAECO as a Business Improvement Leader, where they facilitated improvement activities, supported an effective governance structure, and implemented improvement plans. Bennett managed improvement teams, provided coaching and training, and drove continuous improvement across the company.

Prior to their current role as Assistant Business Improvement Manager at Hong Kong Airport Services Limited, Tong worked at ALBA Integrated Waste Solutions (HK) Limited as a Process Improvement Engineer. In this role, they carried out process reviews and re-engineering to improve quality, environmental, safety, and cost effectiveness. Bennett also established and maintained integrated management systems and monitored department performance through KPIs.

Bennett Tong holds a Master's degree in Engineering Enterprise Management from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management from City University of Hong Kong between 2006 and 2008, with a major in Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management and a minor in English & Communication. Before their Bachelor's degree, Bennett earned a Higher Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering & Engineering Management from Hong Kong Institute Vocation Education from 2005 to 2006. Bennett'seducation history began with a Diploma of Manufacturing Engineering from the same institution from 2003 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Bennett has acquired various certifications throughout their career. Bennett holds a Lean Green Belt from CX Lean Academy obtained in July 2018. In March 2014, they obtained a Combined Certificate for Safety, Health and Environmental Supervisors (Manufacturing) from the Hong Kong Occupational Safety and Health Council. Bennett also received a Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification from SBTI in January 2011. Bennett further obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certificate from ASQ - World Headquarters in October 2016 and a Six Sigma Black Belt certificate from the Hong Kong Society For Quality in August 2016.
