Prof. Shusong

Prof. Shusong BA serves as a Professor of Financial Practice at the University of Hong Kong since February 2025, providing instruction and guidance to graduate students. Prof. BA holds multiple influential positions, including Honorary Advisor at the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers since January 2019 and Managing Director and Chief China Economist at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since June 2015. As Chief Economist at the China Banking Association since July 2009, significant contributions have been made to the field of economics. Additionally, Prof. BA is a distinguished Professor of Finance and editor of the "Peking University Finance Review" at Peking University HSBC Business School since April 2018. Previous roles include membership in the Mainland Opportunities Task Force at the Hong Kong Financial Development Council and various research and leadership positions in national financial institutions. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Economics from Central University of Finance and Economics and postdoctoral training at Peking University, along with senior visiting scholar status at Columbia University.
