Benjamin Sb Yau

Benjamin SB Yau is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in trade relations and business development, currently serving as the Director for Japan at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council since 2001. Yau oversees operations at the HKTDC Japan Offices and leads initiatives to foster business connections between Hong Kong and Japan, also serving on the secretariat of the HK-Japan Business Co-operation Committee. Formerly, Yau established and directed the HKTDC Seoul Office, facilitating opportunities between Hong Kong and Korea, and held various leadership roles within the Japan Hong Kong Society. Yau has contributed to industry events and advisory councils, including serving as a team manager for the APEC Business Advisory Council. An educational background includes a BA and MEng in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and studies in International Studies at Waseda University.
