Salena Morgan

Salena Morgan has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Salena started their career as a Registered Nurse at UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital in 2002. Salena then worked as a Staff RN at Moses Cone Health System from 2003 to 2009. Salena then joined Maxim Healthcare Services and held the positions of RN Case Manager and RN-Director of Clinical Services from 2009 to 2012. At Cone Health, Salena worked as a Clinical Documentation Specialist from 2012 to 2017, and later as a CDI Manager from 2017 to 2023. Currently, they are working as a Network Director Clinical Documentation Integrity at HonorHealth. Throughout their career, Salena has demonstrated expertise in data analysis, audits, education, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate clinical documentation.

Salena Morgan obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2007 to 2009. In addition, they have certifications including Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) from AHIMA in 2015 and 2017, and Registered Nurse (RN) from NCBON in 2002.
