Wilco de Bruijne

Wilco de Bruijne has extensive experience in water management and ecology, currently serving as the owner and partner at OAK consultants since January 2018, and as a project leader and ecology and water quality advisor at Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland since March 2018. Additional roles include advisor for water quality and fish migration at Waterschap Hollandse Delta from September 2021 to December 2023, and interim project manager for dam removal in Europe at the World Fish Migration Foundation in 2021. Wilco has contributed to significant projects such as the Vismigratierivier initiative and the estuary restoration strategy for the Programma naar een Rijke Waddenzee. Previous consultancy roles at LINKit Consult and ARCADIS focused on aquatic ecology and hydrology. Academic credentials include an MSc and BSc in Hydrology and Water Quality Management from Wageningen University & Research. Wilco has also served as a guest lecturer in fish ecology and chaired The Young Part, an association for young professionals.
