Cavin Cox

Cavin Cox has a long history of work experience in the furniture industry. Cavin is currently the VP of Product Development at Hooker Furnishings Corporation, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Product Development at Caracole from August 2019 to April 2021. Before Caracole, Cavin held a role in Quality Assurance at Caracole Home from November 2017 to July 2019.

Cavin's previous roles include Director of Product Development and Sourcing at Magnussen Home Furnishings from May 2014 to July 2017. Cavin also served as Vice President of Wood Product Development and International Sourcing at Schnadig International Corp. in January 2014, and as Director of Product Development at the same company from 2009 to 2014.

In their early career, Cavin worked as the VP Contract PD and Sales at Drexel Heritage from January 2007 to December 2008. Cavin also held the position of Director of New Product Development at Henredon Furniture Industries in 2006. Before that, they were the Manager of Import Product Development/Sr. Product Engineer at Drexel Heritage from 2002 to 2006.

Cavin's career in the furniture industry began at Lexington Home Brands, where they worked in various roles including Engineering Technical Manager/Sr. Product Engineer from 1997 to 2002, Continuous Improvement Coordinator in 1996, and Product Engineer from 1994 to 1996.

Throughout their career, Cavin Cox has gained extensive experience in product development, sourcing, quality assurance, and sales in the furniture industry.

Cavin Cox obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Furniture Management and Manufacturing with a major in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University between 1989 and 1994. Additionally, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Furniture Design and Manufacturing from the same university during the period from 1989 to 1993.
