Shayam Jeyaratnam has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Junior Financial Analyst in Customer Finance at The Kraft Heinz Company. Shayam continued their career at The Kraft Heinz Company, taking on roles such as Finance Intern in Operations Finance, Senior Financial Analyst in Credit and Risk Management, and Senior Financial Analyst in Integrated Supply Chain Finance. In 2014, they joined The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate FP&A and later as a Senior Financial Analyst in Immunology Business Finance. In 2016, they joined CPA Ontario as a Facilitator in the Professional Education Program. Currently, they are working at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) as a Finance Director in Financial Planning & Analysis.

Shayam Jeyaratnam holds a diverse educational background that includes a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. During their undergraduate studies, they specialized in Management and participated in a Co-op program.

In 2010, Shayam pursued further education by completing the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program at the Society of Management Accountants, where they studied Management Accounting and Strategic Management. This program took him two years to complete before they received their CMA certification.

Seeking to enhance their expertise in financial management, Shayam enrolled at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2012 and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with distinction in Financial Management. Shayam was recognized for their outstanding achievements with the Gold Medalist award.

To further supplement their professional qualifications, Shayam obtained the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification from the Corporate Finance Institute (CFI) in March 2020. This certification enhances their knowledge and skills in financial modeling and valuation.
