Alexandru Sirbu

Alexandru Sirbu is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience across multiple roles in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Software Development Manager at Hootsuite since June 2019, Alexandru oversees the development productivity team within the Analytics portfolio and actively contributes to local leadership initiatives. Prior to this, Alexandru held positions at Hootsuite including Software Development Team Lead and Senior Software Developer, working on significant projects to enhance developer experiences and security. Previous experience includes a tenure at Bigstep, where Alexandru was instrumental in architecting a Kubernetes-based datalake product and managing the R&D team. Early career roles included software engineering positions at Hostway Romania, contributing to the development of internal Ruby on Rails applications. Alexandru holds an MSc in Parallel and Distributed Systems and a Bachelor's degree in Systems Programming from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
