Alan Branson

Alan Branson has a strong background in financial leadership, with their most recent roles being Chief Financial Officer at both Hope Credit Union and Hope Enterprise Corporation since 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at both organizations from 1994 to 2018, overseeing various lines of business and community development activities. Alan also held positions such as VP - Commercial Real Estate Development at The Generation Companies, LLC. and Research Associate at Harvard Business School. Branson began their career as a Middle Market Lender at Signet Bank in 1986. Additionally, they have experience as a Microloan Consultant at the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center, where they developed forecasting tools and fundraising proposals.

Alan Branson earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy & Administration from Jackson State University, where they studied from 2011 to 2017. Prior to this, they pursued an MBA in Finance/Accounting from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School between 1990 and 1992. Their undergraduate education was completed at Oral Roberts University from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a BA in Theological & Historical Studies.
