Phil Bowman

Phil Bowman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and community outreach. Currently, Phil serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Tri-Valley Air Quality Climate Alliance since April 2022. Additionally, Phil is a volunteer Engineer and Project Manager for Engineers Without Borders San Francisco, leading a significant water distribution project in Nicaragua and mentoring students in the EWB-UC Santa Barbara chapter. Phil also contributes as a volunteer docent at the East Bay Regional Park District and as a volunteer with Hope Hospice. Before retirement in October 2016, Phil held various senior roles in the technology sector, including Senior Program/Functional Manager at Lockheed Martin and Executive Director of Optical Product Development at Centerpoint Broadband Technologies, among others. Phil holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
